Tom Phillips practiced with Moore Planning Group, LLC for over 14 years, and currently serves as the firm’s Director of Design. Mr. Phillips’ career spans twenty-seven years, and he serves as lead designer on many planning and landscape architectural design projects both internationally and throughout the United States.
Mr. Phillips’ planning and landscape architectural experience includes work on governmental agency projects, campus and commercial projects, recreational and gaming projects, medical, institutional and industrial projects. Specific to the above, Mr. Phillips represents the firm as both project manager, and lead designer. His client contact experience includes working with Congressional Senate and State Representatives, state municipalities, governmental agencies (DoTD, Department of Natural Resources, etc.), US Army Corps-Of Engineers, regional planning authorities, neighborhood groups, and community organizations. Additionally, Mr. Phillips has direct experience in federal and state grant funding application processing.
Mr. Phillips’ work continues to earn professional awards at both state and national levels. Some of his award-winning projects include: I-49 Urban Corridor Enhancement Program (State, 1998), Alexandria Urban Master Plan, (National, 2000), and Compton Park (State, 2005).
Recent involvement in projects includes: Alexandria Urban Streetscape, 3rd Street Project (Alexandria, LA), Hwy. 478 Land Use Plan (Natchitoches, LA), Plaquemine Waterfront Park (Plaquemine, LA), R.W. Norton Art Gallery ( Shreveport, LA.), National Hurricane Museum and Science Center (Cameron Parish, LA), City of Ridgeland, MS, and planning work for the England Airpark Authority (Alexandria, LA).
