Patrick C. Moore

Since 1982, Patrick Moore, co-owner of Moore Planning Group, LLC, leads the firm as the Managing Principal.  He guides projects of varied scope, ranging from land use/enhancement planning for entire regions, to the design of small urban parks. Mr. Moore continues as consultant and advisor to commercial, institutional, and governmental clientele, and manages teams of architects, engineers, public agencies, and various related professionals on projects that involve multiple public and private partners, and complex issues.

Mr. Moore directed the firm on many complex planning and design projects throughout the Southeastern United States. The majority of these required ongoing involvement of the firm, in initial design conception, funding acquisition, and through construction observations of built projects.  Currently the firm’s focus is on city, regional, and recreation planning and design.

Mr. Moore serves as a guest lecturer at colleges, universities, and professional organizations throughout the United States. His involvement in the issues of professional practice led to the authorship of articles in various publications, including Landscape Architecture Magazine, Architectural Digest, Landscape Architect and Specifier News Magazine, National Association of Home Builders, Landscape Design Magazine, and various newspapers throughout Louisiana.

Recently, working with the Shaw Group, the firm managed planning efforts for Hurricane Transitional Housing Initiative across Louisiana, and developed prototypes for community development of short-term housing opportunities. Further, Mr. Moore developed a “New World New Orleans” planning prospective for various foundations and planning organizations, regarding economic and investment opportunities for the future growth of the City of New Orleans.

Mr. Moore is married to Randalle Hunt Moore. They have a son and a daughter.
