As Landscape Architects, we understand the importance of conserving natural resources, protecting habitats, and reducing our footprint on the earth. We have a responsibility to design landscapes that minimize environmental impacts and ensure a healthy viable society.
MPG believes government, companies, organizations and individuals must come together to address the growing challenges presented by climate change. For our part, we have reduced our office environmental footprint and will conduct business in a manner that delivers leading Environmental, Health and Safety performance. We feel this social responsibility is our mission to achieve complete sustainability.
Our goals are to provide designs and services that are safe and environmentally sound throughout their lifecycles, conduct our operations in an environmentally responsible manner, create healthier environments and prevent unnecessary waste.
To accomplish this, we will:
- Promote home sustainable gardens, ride sharing, flex-time and work-out plan discounts.
- Proactively reduce occupational injury and illness risks, and promote employee health and well-being;
- Pursue pollution prevention, energy conservation and waste reduction in our work;
- Create safe designs and minimize their environmental impact;
- Offer our customers environmentally responsible lifecycle management services;
- Require our suppliers and growers to conduct their operations in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
Each employee has an individual responsibility to understand and support our environmental, health and safety policies and to actively participate in programs to ensure our goals are achieved.
We believe our company must work with employees, suppliers, growers, customers, and governmental, nongovernmental and community organizations to protect and enhance public health and the environment.
It takes small steps to begin a long journey. We believe we are only beginning in our sustainable practices and look forward to discovering new and innovative ways to conserve our resources every day.
